Eduardo Bustos Sandoval
Eduardo received a BS in Agronomy from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2007. His former research involved the evaluation of new peach and nectarine rootstocks and their adaptation to Chilean conditions. Currently, he is working in the IAI project “Climate Change and Irrigated Agriculture” (PI, Francisco Meza Ph.D.). He is currently coursing 2nd year M.Sc. in Plant Sciences (Physiology and Fruit Production) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and he is working in the laboratory for Climate Risk Management (CEGRISC). His area of interest is the use of satelital images and teledetection resources (MODIS images) in basin hydrology with heterogeneous coverage and with high water demand in central Chile. Eduardo has participated in projects for climate characterization for new agricultural plots of Blueberries (Hortifrut – PUC, 2008), as well as hydrologic modeling studies at catchment using hydrological computer models (WEAP model – Paute river basin, Ecuador, 2009).
