Javier Houspanossian received a Bsc. in Environmental Technology from the Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires in Argentine. He works at the Environmental Study Group from the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas (CONICET) from Argentina where he is beginning his PhD. project in the central Semiarid Area of San Luis, Argentine. The PhD. project aims to evaluate through remote sensing and field experiments the biogeophysical and biogeochemical climatic impact of the land use change (specifically, dry forest replacement by annual crops) in a strongly deforested region of argentine.
