Manuel Rodrigues is M.S. in Geography (State University of Ceará) and now he is finishing her Doctorate in Geography ( Federal University of Santa Catarina). Her research involves the dynamic of the land cover and land use of an exception area insert in the semi-arid from Ceará: the environmental preservation of the area of the Baturité Mountain Range between 1958 and 2004. He is researcher at the Foundation of Meteorology and Water Resources of the State of Ceará-FUNCEME, where uses the technologies of remote sensing and geoprocessing in the development of relative studies to diagnostics, zonings and monitoring of the renewable natural resources and of the conditions geoenvironmental. He is teacher of the discipline "Geographic Information Systems" of the specialization Course in Geoprocessing Applied to the Environmental Analysis and the Water Resources(State University of Ceará).
