I have a Bachelor (Hons) degree in Geography from University of Londrina (2003) and Master of Science degree in Remote Sensing from the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (2005). Currently I am PhD candidate at the same institute, (National Institute for Space Research). My mains background is geosciences, more specifically in relation to vegetation remote sensing. My publications topics are mainly related to Amazon landuse/landcover change detection, mapping of burned scars, landscape ecology and biodiversity conservation.
